Justin Trudeau is a Canadian politician and The Prime Minister of Canada. He is the second youngest Priminister of Canada to date. Before entering politics, Trudeau worked as a teacher and was a longtime supporter and advocate of grassroots causes for young people and the envrionment. In 2004, Trudeau fought against a proposed $100-million zinc mine he argued would poison the Nahanni River, a United Nations World Heritage Site located in the Northwest Territories. He served as the Chair of Katimavik on the board for the Canadian Avalanche Foundation. As a speaker for events and conferences around the country, he encouraged youth to engage with issues important to them and participate as active citizens.

Trudeau decided to enter politics in 2008, and after working in government for seven years, Trudeau became the Prime Minister of Canada in 2015. As Prime Minister, Trudeau is committed to making Canada a place where everyone has the opportunities they need to thrive. His experiences as a teacher, father, leader and advocate for youth has shaped his vision for his country and dedication to its people.
